SapoFeed is a mineral material based on natural saponite, which can be used in feed production as a technological mineral component, carrier or additive to feed mixtures, subject to the appropriate specifications and permitted use status.
Sorption and mineral properties are confirmed by studies of the State Research Control Institute of Veterinary Drugs and Feed Additives (Lvov, 2022).
Magnesium-containing aluminosilicate. Based on the total capacity of exchangeable cations and chemical composition, the mineral is a source of most macro- and microelements for living organisms.
Sorption activity 365.2 mg/g when adding 1 kg/t. In experiments in vitro binds aflatoxins, ochratoxin A, zearalenone, fumonisins, DON and T-2 toxin; maximum efficiency - for aflatoxin.
By binding toxins, the mineral does not absorb amino acids (lysine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan), vitamins and microelements - unlike a number of non-selective sorbents.
Acid activation increases the adsorption of the mineral by approximately 1.9 times. Sorption begins in the stomach, where the main toxic load of the feed is contained.
In an experiment on dairy cows, the use of a saponite-based additive increased the content of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus in the blood serum compared to the control.
Saponite does not contain toxic impurities of arsenic, cadmium, thallium and mercury. Raw materials - Tashkovskoe and Varvarovskoe deposits, Khmelnitsky region.
The formulations are given based on the results of laboratory and production tests of a mineral feed additive based on saponite from the Tashkovsky deposit. Reports are available upon request. Dosages and recipes are agreed upon with the client’s technologist; the registration status of feed use is specified depending on the country of delivery.
The properties of saponite raw materials were studied in specialized scientific institutions of Ukraine. Below are the results of two 2022 reports.

Safety for long-term use. In the experiment on cattle, the activity levels of the liver enzymes ALT and AST remained within the physiological norm throughout the entire period of feeding - no significant toxic effect on the function of the liver and heart muscle was detected.
